About me?
My Story
I never Really thought I would become a product designer
This is how it happened
I knew I wanted to be a designer when in high school I watched the Helvetica documentary. I went on to study graphic design in university and at the time was fascinated by typography and edgy contemporary imagery and thought I would work at an agency on branding and print projects.
However, as a part of my required learnings at university, I ended up taking some programming courses. In particular, the web design course, where I started learning the basics of front-end dev, which blew my mind.
Being able to do a bit of coding, led to me working on a few web design projects. Eventually I became a fully-fledged product designer.
Today, I love being able to use my knowledge of programming to ensure a smoother dev handoff, be able to finesse technical elements, create functional components and beautiful interactions and work on design systems. Learning about user research, product roadmapping and user testing has also been a blast.
